The V Awards 2021 was officially launched today to celebrate the brands and individuals who are championing the great Vegan, Vegetarian & Plant-based products available to us today.
Wasted Media are also delighted to announce, Sinead O’Carroll as the official Event Ambassador for The V Awards.
For the past two years at Wasted.ie, we have sought to educate, engage and encourage a growing audience who are interested in living a more sustainable lifestyle.
Food sustainability and meat alternatives is something we speak alot about. In answer to the growing number of vegan and plant-based food brands entering the marketplace, we feel this is the right time to celebrate this fast-growing industry with The V Awards 2021 #TVA2021.
Sponsored by our partners SuperValu Ireland and Bloom in a Box, we are working together to celebrate and promote the individuals and companies in our food industry who are passionate about promoting and producing these great products.
We want to showcase meat substitute products, dairy alternative brands, and great places to eat out. We also want to commend the Chefs who promote these great products and our celebrities and influencers who promote a more sustainable, plant-based lifestyle.
19 categories will contain a shortlist of individuals and companies offering and supporting vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based products.
“We are thrilled to have Sinead O’Carroll as our ambassador for TVA 2021,” states Mary O’Sullivan, CEO of Wasted.ie. “Sinead has been a huge advocate of local and sustainable products throughout her exciting on-stage career and we are proud to have her support as we launch The V Awards to celebrate and congratulate these great brands.”
Together with Wasted.ie, Sinead will host the virtual awards ceremony on Thursday March 25th, where the overall winners will be announced. These will be selected through an online voting system and voted on by the general public.
The Awards will be promoted though social media.

About Sinead O’Carroll
Already a household name following her long career with B*Witched, Sinead really found her way into our hearts during the 2020 Dancing with The Stars series on RTE. A hugely popular contestant, Sinead’s charismatic personality has led her to help out those who are feeling a little lost during this last year.
She is a huge believer in finding simple ways that we can help ourselves when we are experiencing feelings of anxiety and she attributes much of her own sense of well-being to her clean, plant-based diet, which she has led for many years. Sinead is a genuine advocate and supporter of local, vegan, and sustainable products and has always helped to promote new plant-based and sustainable brands entering the market. We are delighted to have her on board with us for The V Awards 2021.
