Tenzings Humble Beginnings
It’s common knowledge that the majority of energy drinks on the supermarket shleves are full of synthetic caffeine, artificial mood boosters and loads of sugar.
The wise people at Tenzing thought ‘there must be a better way to achieve the same thing but to develop a drink using only plants.’
Turns out they weren’t the only ones. The Sherpa people have been drinking a natural energy brew for years. And theirs wasn’t made with ingredients you can’t spell. It’s a clever mix of natural caffeine, electrolytes and anti-oxidants.
Inspired by their (Sherpas) brew, they started TENZING – named in honour of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. As one of the first two men to scale the world’s highest mountain, he was famed for his burning ambition, drive for adventure and eternal smile.
Today he’s their (Tenzing) guide and inspiration, and they proud to have their drink carry his name. Today TENZING is even available in most shops – all the way up to Basecamp!
The good folks at Tenzing believe it’s important as a company to give back and and do all that they can to help our planet in return. One of the ways they do this is by re-investing 5% of their profits into environmental projects.
With the help of Jamling Tenzing, Their very first project entailed placing sustainable bins along the trail to Mt. Everest. The path is one of the most beautiful places on earth but has been badly affected by litter. Their hope to help make that a thing of the past.
