Recycling is the process of converting waste (or used) products into new (or useful) materials and products. It is done to reduce the use of raw materials that would otherwise have been used.

Recycling helps also to reduce energy, air pollution and water pollution (from land filling) because the manufacturer doesn’t have to produce something new from raw natural resources.

By reducing the need for “conventional” waste disposal, Recycling also reduces the need for more landfills.
